Marking Exam Paper

Okay, I have started marking the exam paper this morning. After done some simple maths calculation, I must at least finish marking 30 - 40 paper per day. That's mean I can only finish marking 3 - 4 days. That is only for Distributed System's and I also have another 40++ papers for Multimedia System. Hope David Archuleta can peace me with his beautiful voice (currently listening to his songs @ Youtube) Hmm.. OK lah.. gtg, exam papers.. here I come... Chaiyo..chaiyo..

Everyday when I fetch my darlings Danish and Danial from their playschool, we will have interesting chit chat. After I fasten their seat belt, switch on the radio, and start asking questions like -

Misako : Danish belajar apa hari ini?
Danish : Danish nyanyi-nyanyi. (Start singing Mary Had a Little Lamb)
and I sang together with him.
Suddenly there is an advertisement of Naza Kia on the radio - HotFM.

Danish : Ummi, apa tu Naza Kia?
Misako : Ooo.. Naza Kia tu kereta?
Danish : Apa tu kereta? (Macam lah dia ndak tau apa tu kereta)
Misako : Kereta? Kereta tu Car..
Danish : Apa tu car?
Grrr...
Misako : Car tu kereta lah..

and so on.. At last he was laughing. May be this time he was not successful to make me bored with the 'interesting' questions.

It has been ages..

Since I last write something in this blog. Busy? Yeah.. but most of the time, I don't know what to write. When I thought something and want to jot it down, I was too busy and it's just slipped out of my mind. So now, with the semester break approaching, I hope I will have more time to really blog. Not for anyone out there to read, but at least when my children has grown up, we can refresh the memories reading the entries. Will try to write something at least once in a week. Once again, I cross my finger. ;)

Audacity

"Hi frens. Fyi, i hv decided tat i will leave ... Dah hantar 1 mth notis, tunggu surat pendaftar. Wanted 2 tell u b4 u hear frm org lain. Talk to u soon." Last week I received this sms from one of my dear friend. How I wish I have that kind of courage, to move on to something that I like to do, love to live with, to have a hobby that at the same time to own a living from it. Maybe some day, I will fall in love again with my current job. Or maybe I can do something else where I can be my own boss. to my friend, all the best in whatever u do.

On Maternity Leave

It is almost 8 weeks since I am on my maternity leave. Thanks to our gov. we can enjoy maternity leave with full pay. Alhamdulillah. To be frank, it feels good to wake up in the morning and don't have to rush to go to the office, wait for the baby to wake up and have his bath. At the moment he is sleeping beside me and he is smiling in his deep sleep. How I wish I can be work-from-home-mum.

This morning I open my email, and found out this one email asking me to open the exam for CCNA. I almost forgotten! I have promised my student to open the exam every friday. For those student who are taking CCNA sem 2, pls check the website coz I have activated the exam for this whole week.

Besides, I'm taking my precious time to have a look on my x-student's pages : tagged, friendster; just to have an idea how their life after uni. Not very successful though - they rarely talk about their life. They also must be very busy with things they do now, i guess.

A Close Call

"Kota Kinabalu: A Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) student miraculously escaped unscathed despite her Kancil being run over and crushed by a lorry at the Tuaran by-pass Friday.

The woman, identified only as Norhayati, 25, was heading to Indah Permai from Inanam when the mishap occurred at about 7.30pm.

The 37-year-old lorry driver claimed he was trying to avoid hitting a motorcyclist who was speeding and ended up running over the Kancil which was travelling on the right lane."

Actually she is not a student, she is my collegue, was on the way back from her dancing class at Kolombong to Indah Permai. And when the news said "miraculously escaped" it really did. When I heard about it, I felt really scared especially when I also driving a Kancil. Looking at the photo, it was a miracle for her to escape without serious injury. Syukur Alhamdulillah, thank to Allah, that nothing serious happen to her. Semoga kita semua dalam lindunganNya. Amiin.

25 weeks!

Yes, I am now 25 weeks pregnant. This is my third child, but the feeling of excitement is always there. Especially when the baby is doiung her excercise in side. And at this moment she is probably trying another positions.. can feel her move now! Got this 3D image from ivillage. Very excited and looking forward to see the doctor this Friday for another appointment. I think that's all for now, will continue after the meeting with the doctor.

It's 2007?

Wow.. it has been several months since I last wrote in this blog. Not a good blogger I would say. But I really enjoy reading others blog especially my dear friend Linachu. Well, hope it is not too late to wish everybody Happy New Year, although I am not sure is there anybody reading the blog ;) My new resolution? Let see...

1) Someone is coming!
It is expected to be sometime in May, Insyaallah our third child will arrived. Hopefully everything will go right. Hope will be no more C-Section.

2) Lose Weight
Then after the baby, maybe I really need to think and plan this seriously. Like Linachu said "Overweight". Coz now I'm in the "obese" category.. sad..sad..

3) New House
Recently we have booked a house at Bandar Sierra. Still on the process of loan approval. I hope we can move in around September this year. Lots of things to plan, kena jimat byk2 sebab byk benda mo dipikir...

4) FRGS/ e-Science fund
To apply and get at least one research fund. I also don't know how to make it works. Have applied for several time, but still the answer is very sad. Well, need to try again.

5) Confirm
This time I really hope I will manage to gather all the documents for confirmation. 6 tahun masih belum confirm? Hmm..

6) Business
I am interested to go into business, but don't have the courage to leave my comfort and safe job. Although my heart is no longer in the lecturing field, I have to swallow all the boring and same old task to get paid 3k. Can I be a housewife and get that figures? Dont think so... maybe can invest some money in my sister's small business.

7) Healthy life, peaceful mind
Hope everyone that I love will have a healthy life and berbahagia. Peace in Iraq, Palestin, everywhere throughout the world.

There's my 7 resolution for this year. Hope this year will bring more prosperity to everybody. Happy New Year, salam Maal Hijrah!

CR1 oh CR1

CR1 is an application form we need to fill in and submit to the Research Center in order to apply for an internal university grant. After had some discussion with one of my collegue, we decided to submit an application. Actually resubmit.. we have already submitted one last year but sadly.. had been returned.. something on the budget.. need further clarification.

I had submitted several application before this. I don't know why.. it have been always rejected. Maybe the title was not sophisticated or technical enough.. or may be because none of us in the list with DR. May be...

But today, I have decided, what ever reason or what ever obstacle that I need to undergo .. to get my application approve, I will keep on trying.. sending as much CR1 as I can.. I won't let the dissapointment from the rejection of my application demotivate me.. especially in doing research. At the same time I will also try to get some collaboration from other school or research center. Wel.. cross my finger...

To Blog.. or Not To Blog..

Today, I ask my students to create their own blog. I'm not sure wether they are doing this (creating their blog) because they found it interesting or.. just to fulfill my instruction. Honestly, I also don't know how to blog.. what i mean.. it seems my life is very ordinary and nothing interesting to put into my blog.. and this is i think my.. 2nd.. 3rd .. blog?

Well, to my students, keep blogging.. because from here you will dig out your creativity, learn how to express yourself.. and.. another way of having fun!
