31 weeks

We are pregnant. Again! InsyaAllah, this will be the 4th junior in our family. Unplanned, as usual.

I tried to keep it to myself for the first trimester, but of course, going into 2nd trimester, the baby bump started to show. Although, most of my friends sure think that I put on weight instead. Only after the 3rd month, I went to get the tested and yes, 2 lines appeared. Mixed feeling –

• happy to have an additional to our family,
• anxious to juggle study, motherhood and pregnancy,
• shy – can’t explain why I should feel shy. Maybe because one of my senior relate pregnancy with ‘productivity’. Haha.

Alhamdulillah, I don’t have any serious problem in this pregnancy. Morning sickness tu biasalah, kan. But my appetite is increasing.  (Who doesn’t?) So does my weight lah.. :( Within 31 weeks, I have put on extra 10 kilos!

I went to Dr Eileen’s clinic of King Fisher for monthly checking. She is the best choice, female doctor,  to have around this area. Besides, she is also kind and informative. The clinic is not so busy, so cut the waiting time.

However the next question is where to have this baby. The last two was delivered at the SMC, but considering the crowd there.. I am thinking of having it in another hospital. Thinking of Dr Felice of KK Specialist. Most of my friends said, she is good but too busy.  Called the clinic (088-230 011) yesterday and I can only squeeze in on the 4th April. That is on week 35. Harap2 semua berjalan lancar.

After having my 3rd child 5 years ago, it is quite an experience to be pregnant in this age. Tua sudah bah. Student lagi tu. Luckily, I don’t have to go to attend lecture. Or to give lecture. But, reading the articles, journals etc with this condition, is really a challenge. Mengantuklah, sakit pingganglah, malaslah. You name it. But no excuse. The time is ticking. Next semester (which is next week) is my 2nd Semester. End of August, I need to defend my proposal. Scary.

Oklah, enough for now. Will be meeting my BFF tomorrow to catch some updates.

Sehari Dalam Hidup Misako

Petang/malam

Kepulangan misako disambut dengan aroma nasi yang baru masak. Pasti mr hubby sudah siap- siap masak nasi. Terima kasih, yang! Ruang tamu sunyi tanpa suara anak-anak. Pasti semuanya di atas, melayan ps2 yang baru dibeli mr hubby. Akhirnya ps2 dibeli juga setelah lama dipertimbangkan.

Tiba2 danish datang menyapa. " ummi sudah balik? Tepat pada masanya!"
"kenapa?" misako musykil.
"bolehlah ummi masak". Ujar danish selamba. Misako senyum saja. "sekejap lagi ya, lepas ummi solat".

Demam!

My Neneil (danial) can now say the word demam clearly. His vocab is increasing gradually, both Bahasa and English. Of course the English are from the square and colourful, Mr. TV.

Last night we went to Dr. A's clinic at the Likas Plaza. Neneil fever is approaching 38-39 degree celcius. He was too weak to enjoy his Barney's song, not even the Miska Muska, Mickey Mouse. He closed his eyes, but not sleeping. Some time, he called out his Ayah, with his soft and weak voice. Lemah betul dia semalam. So, after Maghrib we went to Likas. We reached there about 7.30 pm. It was early. The clinic will not open until 8 pm, but to our surprise the back door was open. So quickly we went inside. The makcik at the counter was shocked (sbb heran mcm mana kami bulih masuk).

Makcik : Eh, Dr. belum sampai lagi. Kami bukak pukul 8.
Me : Ya, ndak apalah. Saya mo register jak dulu.

So, after that we went to a kedai mamak downstair. I tried to give Neneil the fried rice. He only ate 2 spoon. That's good enough considering he has the blister in his mouth. Then, he drank kakak Nurul's Ice Milo. Hantam jak lah.. ais pun ais lah.. yg penting dia minum. Coz recently he refuse to drink milk.

Around 8 pm, I brought Neneil to the clinic again. The rest still membantai roti telur at the mamak's. The clinic was so packed of people. Heran.. dr manalah diorang dtg tiba2 menyerbu. While waiting, came a mother and a son sitting beside me.

Mom : Demam?
Me : Iya.
Mom : Dr sudah sampai?
Me : Belum lagi.
Mom : Dr selalu lambat kan?
Me : (Smilling)

Yes, when you come to this clinic you should be prepare of the situation of over crowded and although it said the clinic open at 8 pm, does not mean the doctor will be there at 8 pm. Sometime 8.30 pm still no show.

So why people keep coming to this clinic? For me because the Dr's treatment satisfies me. He will check his patients in detail. Care to explain, why this and that happen. What to do in case of emergency or high fever or baby fall head first or kena air panas etc. I always feel condifident and happy with his consultation. Also the medicine was good, I mean ngam with my family (although it was quite expensive compare to others).

Neneil got the antibiotic jag - one dose jag - so he doesn't need to take the antibiotic for the whole week. Because the fever is quite high, kena sumbat. Got medicine for his cough and runny nose.
Not long after that, he can lift his head and say bye2 to the makcik. Cepat juga kesan ubat tu aa..

Last night he slept well, all through the night. I checked his fever at the midnight, but it was reducing. Mudah2an anak ummi cepat sembuh.

FamilyVacation - Kudat 2008

Just came back from Kudat, yesterday. Last weekend, the marking activity was postponed. Need to take some fresh air. My brain need some rest. No red pen this weekend.

My parents arrived in KK since last week. Nowadays, my parents prefer to come down to KK during holidays. Almost all my siblings are here, except Ani. So, we plan to have a visit to our own lands end, Simpang Mengayau, Kudat.

Now, I really need to finish the marking. The progress is very slow. I am not happy to myself. Need to have a big motivation to fix my speed of marking. And Fid SMSed me, must submit the marks before this Friday. I guess that was a big motivation for me to finish the job. Ayoyo.. mcm mana lah mo kasi abis marking ni..
