31 weeks

We are pregnant. Again! InsyaAllah, this will be the 4th junior in our family. Unplanned, as usual.

I tried to keep it to myself for the first trimester, but of course, going into 2nd trimester, the baby bump started to show. Although, most of my friends sure think that I put on weight instead. Only after the 3rd month, I went to get the tested and yes, 2 lines appeared. Mixed feeling –

• happy to have an additional to our family,
• anxious to juggle study, motherhood and pregnancy,
• shy – can’t explain why I should feel shy. Maybe because one of my senior relate pregnancy with ‘productivity’. Haha.

Alhamdulillah, I don’t have any serious problem in this pregnancy. Morning sickness tu biasalah, kan. But my appetite is increasing.  (Who doesn’t?) So does my weight lah.. :( Within 31 weeks, I have put on extra 10 kilos!

I went to Dr Eileen’s clinic of King Fisher for monthly checking. She is the best choice, female doctor,  to have around this area. Besides, she is also kind and informative. The clinic is not so busy, so cut the waiting time.

However the next question is where to have this baby. The last two was delivered at the SMC, but considering the crowd there.. I am thinking of having it in another hospital. Thinking of Dr Felice of KK Specialist. Most of my friends said, she is good but too busy.  Called the clinic (088-230 011) yesterday and I can only squeeze in on the 4th April. That is on week 35. Harap2 semua berjalan lancar.

After having my 3rd child 5 years ago, it is quite an experience to be pregnant in this age. Tua sudah bah. Student lagi tu. Luckily, I don’t have to go to attend lecture. Or to give lecture. But, reading the articles, journals etc with this condition, is really a challenge. Mengantuklah, sakit pingganglah, malaslah. You name it. But no excuse. The time is ticking. Next semester (which is next week) is my 2nd Semester. End of August, I need to defend my proposal. Scary.

Oklah, enough for now. Will be meeting my BFF tomorrow to catch some updates.

Tunggul II

It has been two days, Danish complaining about one of his teeth. At first I thought it was just a trick so that he can buka puasa. But when I checked, the geraham ada lubang besar. So, yesterday we went to the dentist. He is the one who keep asking me to bring me to the dentist.  Browsed through my list of dentists’ clinic around KK, we decided to go to the nearest one in KingFisher.

We were the only patient in the clinic, therefore no waiting needed. I like this. Last visit to the dentist, we need to wait for almost 1 hour before our turn.

Dr Philip Teh is very friendly. He introduced himself as ‘abang’ to Danish. After Danish told what’s the problem, abang Dr. checked his painful tooth.The nurse gave Danish a sunglasses to wear.  Then he explain thoroughly to Danish on what will he be doing for the next 10 minutes.  He also let Danish hold the tip of the ‘grounder-machine’. Do some demo on how the hose works and sucks the water from the grounder. Dr told whenever Danish feel any pain and wanted the Dr to stop, just raise his hand. Danish seems calmer than before.  

No need to pull the tooth but Danish had nerve inflammation which causing the pain. Abang Dr. put some filling in the tooth to protect and I think to reduce the pain. He asked us to come back after one week to put a proper restoration to the tooth.

Oh ya, the Abang Dr also promised to give Danish a Hello Kitty sticker after everything done. Instead, Danish asked for Ben 10 sticker. Hahaha.

The visit to the dentist was fun. Danish was happy as he can be.

Chicken Pox

For the last 1 month, I have to deal with the chicken pox. Started with Nurul last month, and after she recover.. just after we get back from Sandakan, Danish took the turn. We gave him young coconut juice (air kelapa muda bah) as many people claim it will make the recovering stage faster. Alhamdulillah, just before we went to KL he had recovered. Although the scar were still can be spotted, but he is 100% ready for the trip.

Two days before we went back to KK, while changing Danial I saw some spots on his body. Alamak.. it was eventually Danial turns to kena. Luckily I brought the medicine. Apply the calamine lotion to reduce the itchiness and gave him ubat demam. So, not much jalan2 coz he is not feeling well and meragam.

It was quite a challenge when we were on the flight to KK. He keep crying and throwing all his tantraum. I am relieved when he fall asleep just before the meal came. He woke up 20 minutes to landing and continue his tebiat. Ndak tau lah apa org sebelah menyebelah cakap.. He was crying and crying. Kesian at the same time geram! I manage to calm him down showing his favourite cartoon on the screen - Upin dan Ipin.

Currently, I am on leave. Taking care dear Danial. He is recovering but the spots are so many. Especially on his face and his body. Kesian betul tinguk dia. Do you have any tips how to make the scar dissapear?

Hari ni kita cuti?

Danish : Ummi hari ni kita cuti?
Ummi : Mmmm .. tidak hari ni kita skolah.
Danish : Alaaa.. kenapa hari2 mau skolah..
Ummi : Memanglah kena skolah.. kan Danish mo jadi budak pandai, kan?
Danish : Penat bah Danish, hari2 mo skolah. [sambil nangis2]

Itu adalah soalan wajib Danish setiap pagi. Bangun2 jak mesti tanya sama ada hari ni cuti ka tidak. Kadang2 saya diamkan jak. Sebab sudah expected his action after kasi tau bahawa hari ini tidak cuti. Dan hari ni dia nangis lagi. Puas dipujuk. Tapi bila bagi tau yg hari ni ndak payah pakai baju skolah, diam pulak dia sambil senyum2. Marah betul dia kalau mo pakai baju sekolah. Buat masa ni baju skolah nya baru sepasang, tiada saiz yg sesuai so terpaksa ditempah. Masa hantar Danish ke sekolah tadi, nangis nya makin lama makin kuat. Sempat lagi cikgunya pegang sambil Danish meronta2.

Danish : Ummiii.. dengarlah Danish mo kasitau..
[Ummi tgh cakap ngan cikgunya time Danish nangis]
Ummi: Ya, kenapa Danish?
Danish : Nanti.. ummi.. ambil Danish awal ya? [tersedu2 dia nangis]
Ummi : Ok, nanti ummi ambil Danish awal.
Danish : Jangan lambat ya ummi...

So, hari ni kena siapkan kerja awal. Kena ambil the boys tu awal sikit. Lagi pun, KK tgh hujan sekarang ni.

Oh ya, pasal Danial jarang pulak nak crita.. nanti saya update pasal Danial pulak.. [hahaha.. crita pasal anak2 lah pulak]. Skrg ni ada pulak tebiat Danial ni nak pegang tangan masa ummi driving. Kalau ummi mo tukar gear, nangis smcm jak sebab kena lepas tangan. [Danial duduk di baby seat sebelah ummi].

Macam2 kerenah anak2 ummi ni.. Belum lagi si kakak Nurulnya. Haiii.. sabar jak lah. Ya Allah, berilah kekuatan buat hambaMu ini dalam berhadapan dengan karenah anak2nya. Kurniakan lah kami anak2 yg soleh dan solehah. Amiin!
